Call for submissions to KLA Vol 22.2_Deadline August 15, 2018  

 

Dear AATK members,  

 

This email represents a call for submissions for The KLA, Volume 22.2, to be published at the end of the year 2018. I encourage those who are preparing for a presentation at the upcoming 23rd AATK annual meeting in Toronto to aim to publish it as a research article or a forum for the KLA. 

 

** The deadline for consideration for publication in Volume 22.2 is  AUGUST 15, 2018.**   Please get in touch with me if you plan to submit a paper for the volume.  

 

In the meantime, information about the latest KLA issue, Vol. 22.1, will be available in the June 2018 issue of AATK newsletter.  Vol. 22.1 has just gone into production, and is expected to come out early in the fall.         

 

Contributions solicited for Volume 22.2 are in the following areas:   

RESEARCH ARTICLES  

9,000 words maximum

(e.g., experimental/empirical studies, qualitative/quantitative, classroom discourse, cognitive-functional linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, applied phonetics/phonology in classroom teaching, cross-linguistic/cross-cultural topics, heritage language learners and teachers, National Standards for Korean, and so forth)

 

FORUM PIECES

-Best Practices for Teaching (BPT)  3,000 words maximum

(e.g., curriculum design, exemplary teaching strategies, effective assessment practices, professional development/teacher training, etc.)

 

-Voices from the Field (VFF) 1,500 words maximum

(e.g., opinions on teaching trends and practices, dialogue or commentary on articles published in the KLA or elsewhere, etc.)

 

BOOK REVIEWS

1,000 words maximum
