Dear Colleagues:

We are thrilled to announce that The College Board® has endorsed The National Examinations in World Languages (NEWL), our new suite of online proficiency examinations in critical world languages: Arabic, Chinese*, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian (also known as Prototype AP® Russian).

Don't miss the chance to ensure your school district's students are prepared to take critical world language exams that will help them obtain college credit or placement through our Professional Development Seminar for teachers this February.

We are conducting a PD Seminar for teachers of these NEWL™ languages to ensure their students are confident and prepared for these proficiency-based exams. During the two-day workshop, language teachers will gain an understanding of the core design and content of the NEWL assessment exams.

Register Now and Save

The seminar will be held at the American Councils headquarters in Washington, D.C. on February 11-12, 2017. Register now through January 31, 2017 for the early bird rate and receive $65 in savings.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.

Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Huma Manati

The College Board provides the AP® Chinese Language and Culture Exam. If a school offers the AP® Chinese Exam, enrolled students should take the AP® Chinese Exam. They are encouraged, however, to take both exams.
