Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern East Asian Studies


The College of East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position in Modern East Asian Studies with a focus on Japan and Korea beginning September  1, 2020. The fields of expertise for this position are open and include (but are not limited to) history, literature, film, media, and/or popular cultural studies.


The successful applicant will be expected to teach five courses for the year, including three courses on Japanese humanities and one course in Korean humanities, and one upper-level Korean language course at the advanced level.  A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is preferred but advanced doctoral students will also be considered.
