Visiting Assistant Professor, Korean

Non-tenure Track

 

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in Korean to begin on July 1, 2020.  The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon successful review.

 

A Ph.D. in Korean linguistics or in a related discipline such as (Applied) Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Education, or Korean Culture is required.  The teaching load is five courses per academic year.  We seek candidates with native or near-native fluency in Korean and excellent command of English to teach all levels of Korean language courses and additional culture courses in English translation.

 

Successful candidates should demonstrate the capacity and willingness to play an active role in the growth and development of the Korean program, as well as familiarity with current instructional technology.
