The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University invites applications for an appointment as a Lector of Korean Language beginning Fall 2018. The position is a one-year appointment.  The visitor will teach: Two sections of Elementary Korean I (Fall 2018) and one section of Elementary Korean II (Spring 2019). Required qualifications are native or near-native proficiency in Korean and proficiency in English; a master’s degree or equivalent; substantial experience in teaching Korean as a second language in a college or university setting; training in language pedagogy and the use of technology in language teaching.
