The Department of East Asian Studies at Brown University invites applications for a full-time position as Visiting Lecturer of Korean language, effective July 1, 2017. The initial appointment will be up to two years. 

Minimum qualifications include M.A. degree or the equivalent in Korean language and linguistics, language pedagogy, applied linguistics/second language acquisition or related field, native or near-native fluency in Korean, competency in spoken and written English, experience in teaching Korean language to English-speaking students at the university level, and demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Preferably the ideal candidate will be confident in instructional technology and its classroom applications. Applicants should be able to teach Korean at all levels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching minimum two Korean language courses at assigned levels, and working closely with other program faculty for Korea-related events and activities.
