Korean Linguistics and Language, Assistant Professor

 

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University

(http://departments.columbian.gwu.edu/eall/) invites applications for a non-tenure track assistant professor position in Korean Linguistics and Language with a 5-year renewable contract, anticipated to start as early as Fall 2017. This position will be complementary to the Literature and Humanities endowed professorship anticipated to start in the near future.

 

Basic Qualifications: A PhD degree in Korean linguistics; native or near native fluency in Korean and English; evidence of excellence in teaching native speakers of English at college level as demonstrated by evaluations; active research and publication agenda in their specialized areas; and ability to teach multiple levels of Korean language in addition to linguistics courses. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
