On January 23–26, 2014, the Fourth International Conference on the Development and Assessment of Intercultural Competence will be held at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. The theme of the conference will be "Preparing and Supporting K-16 Language Teachers to Teach for Intercultural Competence in and beyond the Classroom", with Joan Kelly Hall as the keynote speaker and Carl Blyth, Maria Carreira, and Toni Theisen as plenary speakers. This conference is organized by the University of Arizona's Center for Educational Resources in Culture, Language and Literacy (CERCLL).

CERCLL is accepting proposals for papers, workshops, symposia, and posters. A Call for Proposals for the conference can be found at http://cercll.arizona.edu/development/conferences/2014_icc. Preference is given to proposals on the main conference theme. The deadline for proposals is April 1, 2013.
