Dear AATK members, 


I am pleased to announce that the compilation of KLA Vol 21.2. is complete and the production is in progress. I would like to express my deepest gratitudes to contributors and reviewers, and many thanks to all AATK members for your continued support and interest.  .  


It is now time to make a call for papers for Volume 22.1, to be published in June 2018.  Please get in touch with me if you plan to submit a paper for the new volume.  


As before, contributions solicited for Volume 22.1 are in the following areas:  


9,000 words maximum

(e.g., experimental/empirical studies, qualitative/quantitative, classroom discourse, cognitive-functional linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, applied phonetics/phonology in classroom teaching, cross-linguistic/cross-cultural topics, heritage language learners and teachers, National Standards for Korean, and so forth)



-Best Practices for Teaching (BPT)  3,000 words maximum

(e.g., curriculum design, exemplary teaching strategies, effective assessment practices, professional development/teacher training, etc.)


-Voices from the Field (VFF) 1,500 words maximum

(e.g., opinions on teaching trends and practices, dialogue or commentary on articles published in the KLA or elsewhere, etc.)



1,000 words maximum

**For consideration for publication in Volume 22.1, please submit your manuscripts for initial review by or before JANUARY 31, 2018**  Please also be reminded that submissions to the KLA are welcome at any time during the year.
