Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Korean

The Department of Asian Studies at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position (non-tenure track) in Korean to begin in Fall 2020. This is a 36-week (two academic semesters, Fall and Spring), non-tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. 

Full-time Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Teaching Professors teach three courses per semester. The position will offer benefits and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory to advanced Korean language courses as well as participation in programmatic service. Candidates who can teach courses in Korean culture (literature, history, and film) and who can contribute to the growth of Korean Studies on campus are especially welcome

Minimum requirements include a Master's degree in Korean pedagogy, second language acquisition, linguistics, or related discipline, near-native ability in both Korean and English, appropriate teaching experience, and evidence of high quality in teaching.
