KOREAN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR

To begin fall 2016

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington, seeks to fill a full-time lecturer position in Korean language to begin in fall 2016. The position is appointed with an initial 3-year contract, renewable annually, with promotion to senior lecturer and long-term contract in sixth year for excellent performance.

 

Minimum qualifications: MA in Korean language and linguistics, language pedagogy, applied linguistics or related field; native or near-native proficiency; prior experience and demonstrated success in teaching Korean at the college level in the U.S.

 

Applicants must be qualified to teach Korean language at all levels. Duties include 3 courses per semester and active involvement in training and supervising graduate student teaching assistants, conducting placement tests, and other duties related to program management and development.
