The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations of the University of Chicago seeks to hire a full-time lecturer in Korean language. We have a comprehensive program in Korean-language studies, offering first- through fourth-year Korean. Responsibilities will include working with the director of the Korean-language program to develop the program, and teaching both beginning and advanced levels of the language. Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in Korean and previous language teaching experience at the college level; a Ph.D. in second-language acquisition is desirable, but not mandatory.
