Korean Studies Assistant Professor Position at Cornell University

 

The Department of Asian Studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, invites applications for a position in Korean studies at the rank of assistant professor (tenure track) to begin July 1, 2011. Responsibilities include teaching courses about Korea at undergraduate and graduate levels and advising graduate students in the field. Area of specialization should be Korean humanities with strong emphasis on Korean literature, media studies, or cultural studies with Korean language competence.

 

Candidates must be able to contribute to the teaching curriculum and the research profile of an interdisciplinary department that provides undergraduate and graduate instruction and trains scholars to relate Korean humanities to transnational concerns. Ph.D. required.
