The results of accommodation registration shows that 85 participants have registered to date. We expect that about 25-30 more people from the local areas will also participate. Now we are providing details for travel guidance and updates to the last posting.

 

1.  As indicated at Princeton link provided in the accommodation form Newark Liberty International Airport, NJ is the most convenient airport to Princeton.

Driving

Overnight parking will be in Lot 23.  A parking pass for display on your dashboard will be provided upon request (contact suh@princeton.edu). The location of the parking lot can be found on the map at the following website:

Shuttle Bus

¡Ü A shuttle bus service called "Airporter" operates between Princeton and Newark Airport. The fare between the two places is $28. On-line reservation is possible through their web site (www.goairporter.com). You may also call them at 1-800-385-4000.  Advance reservation (48 hours) is required for the shuttle service.

 

¡Ü If you are staying in Scully Hall get off the shuttle at the Baker Rink stop on the Princeton University Campus.  Walk toward the Campus/Visitor Access Booth on Elm Drive and go straight to Scully Hall. This should take less than 5 minutes.

 

¡Ü The shuttle also stops at the Nassau Inn.

Taxi

Taxi fare between Princeton and Newark Airport runs about $102 inclusive of tolls and gratuities.  Andy's taxi at 609-462-6963 and AAA taxi at 609-921-1177 are recommended by the Nassau Inn.

 

Train

The train runs every 30 minute on the weekdays. One way fare between the Newark Airport and Princeton is $14.50. Buy the ticket at the Newark International Airport station to Princeton (Northeast Corridor line). Ride the train to Princeton Junction. Then transfer to a shuttle train called ¡°Dinky¡± to Princeton campus. ¡°Dinky¡± is usually waiting at the platform adjacent to your exit from the train. Do not enter the tunnel under the main line.

 

The walk from Princeton train station to Scully Hall takes less than 10 minutes. You may also take the campus shuttle, either Green line or Orange line.  Here is the link to the campus shuttle map:

3.  From John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK, NY)

 

The ¡°Airporter¡± shuttle operates from JFK to Princeton.  Depending on the number of interim stops and the time of the day, the estimated travel time would be approximately 2-3 hours.

4. Workshop Site Change

The workshop site has been changed to the Multi-purpose Room in Frist Center due to the larger than expected registration. Frist Center is within a five minute walk from both Scully Hall and the Nassau Inn.

Amtrak service: 2 blocks from hotel; taxi $3.00.  New Brunswick to Philadelphia $40 except Friday-Sunday, $46 one way $80 roundtrip.
